About Virginia Theta

Pi Beta Phi at Washington and Lee University

Fancy Dress

Virginia Theta Pi Phis at Fancy Dress Ball - an annual W&L tradition

The Virginia Theta Chapter of Pi Beta Phi was founded on April 25, 1992. It was the fourth of six NPC sororities at Washington and Lee University (W&L). The Greek atmosphere at W&L is quite different than most campuses; around 75% of undergraduate women are members of a Greek organization. Some W&L Law students are also involved in Greek life; two Pi Beta Phi alumnae serve as Chapter Advisers. Washington and Lee Pi Phis participate in Pi Phi sponsored philanthropy and social events and take their scholarship very seriously, yet remain heavily involved in organizations on campus outside of Pi Phi.
