Formals

We have a few formals each year - Beaux and Arrows in the fall, the Wine Carnation or New Member Formal in the winter, and a spring formal that often takes place under the stars at Washington and Lee's Liberty Hall Ruins. In the fall, we also have a semi-formal "My Tie" event. Sisters set each others up with dates. No one knows who her date is; she just has his tie. At the event, the guy finds his date and tells her, "That's My Tie!"

Theme Parties

Dressing up for theme parties is a fun way to bond with our sisters, and we love interacting with members of other groups - sororities and fraternities alike! Past themes have included Valentine's Day, the 90's, Willy Wonka, and Pink, Plaid, and Pearls.

If your group is interested in having an event with the VA Theta Chapter of Pi Phi, please contact our Social Chair Erika Vaugn at vaughel12@mail.wlu.edu.

Sisterhood Events

Sisterhood events are for members only. They give us a chance to spend time with just our sisters. There are a few annual events like Pink Party and Senior Farewell; most sisterhood events are planned based on the chapter's interests. This year we have had sisterhood events to make jewelry, learn self defense, and decorate luminaries for Washington and Lee's Relay for Life.
